Ian Wilson
°ÅÀÖÊÓƵÏÂÔØapp Consultant
Ian works with schools and trusts across the maintained sector, including primary, secondary and special schools. He undertakes external reviews of governance, delivers training sessions and development programmes, and is an external adviser on headteacher/CEO performance management.  He has been an °ÅÀÖÊÓƵÏÂÔØapp consultant since 2019.
Ian was a governor of a maintained special school for six years, and is currently chair of trustees of a medium-sized MAT.
Ian was a secondary headteacher, an Ofsted inspector, and the principal consultant for school improvement in a large local authority. He has advised on over 70 headteacher or CEO appointments. He is a coach for new and aspiring CEOs of Multi Academy Trusts.
Ian is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. He was awarded the MBE in 2024 for services to education.
