  • Informed framing and monitoring of the general performance expectationÌý
  • How to deal with underperformance successfullyÌýÌý
  • Monitoring of performance against objectivesÌý

The session will be led by a quality-assured °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµÏÂÔØapp consultant with extensive experience in CEO appraisal, both as a MAT trustee and chair, and as an independent expert appointed to support boards through this process.Ìý

Participants will receive a comprehensive resource pack and templates to help implement learning in practice.Ìý

Meet the trainer

Stephen Hopkins

Stephen Hopkins has thirty years’ experience of school governance including chairing a large multi academy trust, governing boards of primary and secondary schools and academies and the Education and Personnel Committee of a very large national multi academy trust. As an °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµÏÂÔØapp consultant Stephen undertakes External Reviews of Governance and Headteacher/CEO performance management support and facilitates training for chairs, clerks and boards. Stephen is a trained Ofsted inspector and has extensive headship (primary and secondary) and school improvement support experience. As a qualified coach (Institute of Leadership and Management and the International Authority for Professional Coaching and Mentoring) Stephen has extensive experience of supporting school leaders and senior executives.
